Ramakrishna Math, Ooty, distributed scholarships to students on 13 August 2023. In an event organised at the ashrama auditorium, 96 meritorious school students received Swami Vivekananda Scholarships to support their education. The programme started with vedic chanting and bhajans by Swami Satyayuktananda. Swami Raghaveshananda ji, Adhyaksha of the centre, gave a talk on the teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Buddhidananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, enriched the audience with spiritual insights and perspectives from the life of the Holy Trio. Each student also received a book of Swami Vivekananda.
The ashrama also distributed spectacles to 36 old and poor people, as a part of their welfare activities, on 13 August 2023. The “Inner Wheel Club of Ketti Valley” donated the amount needed for the spectacles.
